Dean Hartley is a Podiatrist of over 15 years. Dean co-founded Balance Podiatry and iOrthotics (Brisbane and New York, USA) and, in 2018, Healthia Limited, Australia, a publicly listed allied health organisation.

In his role as Director, Dean guides the business and technical development of iOrthotics in Australia and the two US businesses, iOrthotics USA (New York) and Performance Laboratories (New Jersey).

Since 2015, Dean has collaborated with The University of Queensland (School of Engineering), Queensland University of Technology and HP to introduce 3D Printed technologies, digital workflows and 3D scanning into orthotic manufacturing.

In 2022, Dean was awarded an Adjunct Fellow position in the School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering at The University of Queensland, Queensland, Australia.

Dean also jointly set up the Healthia R&D Hub in 2021 and continues to advise on tech-enabled healthcare with involvement in technology-focused research through the private allied health sector.

Patrick joined iOrthotics in 2026, bringing together clinical practice and a commercial background. He holds a Bachelor of Podiatry from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance, completed with distinction. Having spent a lot of time in New York & New Jersey this year, Patrick is our expert in all things US market & lab. Originally from Toowoomba, Patrick is a also a keen runner.

Dr. Michael Chin is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and Medical Director of The Running Institute, where his practice centers on runners and active patients. He is co-lead of the podiatry section for the Chicago Marathon and has worked with iOrthotics on 3D-printed devices for high-demand patients. Dr. Chin brings a US clinical perspective on how digital manufacturing changes what's possible in orthotic design and materials.

Scott co-founded Allsports Podiatry in 2003. Scott has a Bachelor of Science (Human Movement Studies) from the University of Queensland (1998) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology (2001).

Since graduating Scott has worked primarily in the clinical setting and has enjoyed several years as a member of staff at QUT, teaching anatomy, orthotic manufacture, and biomechanics to podiatry students.

For the past 6 years he has been the GM at iOrthotics Brisbane. Scott’s focus has been on enhancing the day-to-day workflow and innovating within the Orthotic manufacturing industry. This has contributed to iOrthotics gaining; ISO 9001 and 13485 (medical devices) Certification.

He has also had a special interest in providing training and mentoring to prescribing podiatrists, along with leading Healthia’s R&D Hub projects and supervising PHD researchers involved within the business. 3 PhD students from both QUT and UQ, are currently collaborating with iOrthotics on the CRC-project titled: Design-led advanced manufacturing of smart orthotics for remote Australia.

Nidhi has been a valued team member at iOrthotics since 2021. She graduated in 2009 and a member of well-known Australian Orthotic and prosthetic Association and specialised in lower limb orthosis including Ankle Foot Orthosis, Knee Orthosis, KAFO, spinal braces & upper limb splints. She has fitted various types of orthosis to the patients and finds helping her patient’s work towards their goal very rewarding. Nidhi looks after the custom 3D printed AFO design work, Sure step pediatric braces and custom medical grade Footwear orders at iOrthotics and also provides guidance in ordering and prescription of these products.

Elisha King is a podiatrist and Operations Manager, as well as Training & Education Podiatrist at iOrthotics. She joined iOrthotics in 2024, bringing experience from a range of busy private practices across Australia, as well as a strong understanding of the clinician and customer perspective as a former long-term user of iOrthotics services. Elisha graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Podiatry with Distinction and was awarded the Faculty of Health and Medicine Medal. She continues to consult clinically at AllSports Podiatry in Brisbane, maintaining a strong focus on patient outcomes. She has a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics and complex neurological conditions, with advanced experience in prescribing and integrating custom bracing solutions, including AFOs, SMOs, Richie Braces, and custom medical grade footwear across both adult and paediatric populations. Elisha is actively involved in practitioner education, delivering training on scanning protocols, best-practice prescription, and integrating bracing into clinical workflows alongside custom foot orthotics.

Dr. Robert Conenello is an internationally recognized sports medicine podiatrist, lecturer, and authority in lower extremity biomechanics, sports injury rehabilitation, regenerative medicine, and performance optimization. With more than 35 years in private practice as founder of Orangetown Podiatry, he has dedicated his career to “empowering the athlete within” every patient — from elite competitors to everyday active individuals. Dr. Conenello has lectured nationally and internationally on biomechanics, functional foot orthotics, shockwave therapy, sports medicine, gait analysis, and emerging regenerative technologies, including ESWT, EMTT, and SWIFT microwave therapy. He serves as a consultant to multiple footwear and orthotic companies and has contributed to shoe development, biomechanics education, white papers, and sports medicine publications. A former President of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, Dr. Conenello has served on the medical staff of major athletic events including the Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon, and Racing the Planet’s Sahara Desert ultramarathon. His experience also includes consulting and educational involvement with professional, collegiate, Olympic, and Special Olympics athletes and organizations around the world. Known for blending clinical science with real-world athletic application, Dr. Conenello brings a practical, energetic, and highly engaging approach to topics involving movement efficiency, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.
